RIO was the first company to manufacture all its premium lines with a neat welded loop in the front end. Due to popular demand, RIO now also puts a welded loop in the back end of each premium trout, specialty and saltwater line. There is no quicker way to rig a fly line than to tie the backing to a loop with an improved clinch knot (or by using a large loop in the backing – allowing lines to be switched quickly) and the new rear welded loops from RIO allow an angler to do just that. Never before has it been so easy or fast to rig a new fly line to a reel and get out fishing!
EVERY FLY FISHERMAN IS LOOKING FOR A SLICKER LINE. And for good reason – slicker line means longer casts, more control and less wear and tear from abrasion and the accumulation of grime. XS Technology all began when RIO’s Labcoats began reformulating conventional chemical compounds and material combinations. Although RIO’s formulas continually exceed all others, our scientists are fly fisher people, and by definition they want an even slicker fly line, it’s just part of the deal. So first, they tackled the polyvinyl chloride (PVC) coating and through intense scrutiny down to the polymeric mix level, they defined some fundamental limitations. Out went the old PVC / silicone formula combinations and, after many hours spent both in the lab and on the water, a new proprietory coating was developed. With our new XS Technology, RIO has developed a fly line that is slicker, more stable, and far less apt to attract dirt, and paired with our AgentX Technology, it engineers a line that is far less dense. These new fly lines with XS Technology cast further and more accurately, float higher, last longer, and offer more consistent performance cast after cast, strike after strike, fish after fish. It takes longer to deliver to the Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland . This may take up to 3 working days. There is also an additional charge for these areas.
We cannot currently deliver overseas including Channel Islands, Isles of Scilly, the Isle of Man and Scottish Islands.

If we cannot deliver your order within the specified period, we shall make every effort to contact you and inform you of the expected delivery time for your order. If we cannot agree a delivery time with you, you can cancel your order and receive a full refund for it.

If your item has been lost or damaged in transit, has arrived faulty, or is incorrect, then please call us immediately (or within 48 hours of receipt) on 01235 770266. We will then arrange the best course of action to take. In all the above instances any costs incurred in returning items will be fully reimbursed.
If your product has developed a fault then please contact us with your order number to hand. We can then discuss the preferred course of action that you would like us to take.
If for any other reason you want to return a product to us we offer a 30 day returns policy. All that we ask is that you please notify us of any issues within 7 days of receiving the item and return the item - unused and in its original packaging - within 30 days of receipt. We recommend that you use a signed for service, via a reputable courier, such as Royal Mail for smaller items and Parcelforce for larger items, with adequate insurance to cover the value of the item. To facilitate a speedy refund or replacement, please include a copy of your receipt and state the reason for the return. Return postage costs will not be reimbursed.
